The Good Egg

Remember a number of years ago, when the food police was screaming that eggs were bad for you? I ignored them then, and I continue to do so now. Now, there is evidence that says are actually really good for you:
If you don't like eggs think twice. Eggs could protect against heart disease, cancer and eye problems, says a new study disapproving the assumption that eggs were bad for cholesterol levels.

Bruce Griffin of the University of Surrey analysed 30 egg studies and found that people who consumed one or more eggs a day were at no more risk of suffering from cardiovascular disease than non-egg eaters, reported the online edition of Daily Mail.

I don't particularly remember the egg ban or perhaps it's because I wouldn't give the food police the time of day when it comes to the beloved egg. Granted, I don't eat them everyday, but me loves eggs sunny-side up for breakfast with a side of portuguese sausage and 2 scoops of white rice. Darn, that local hawaii gal just keeps popping up when it comes to food!
